OUR 12th ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP TRILOK SUMMER CAMP SUMMER WAS NEVER SO MUCH FUN !! 
the program Our summer program exposes children ages 2 to 15 to, music, drumming, gardening, theater, cooking, languages, art and much more. Our 22,000 square foot center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is a creative vibrant setting for children to explore, learn and interact by finding new ways to express themselves every summer. Trilok Fusion Arts is dedicated to being a gateway to sights and sounds from around the world. Our highly qualified teachers are artists in their respective fields and come from all around the world, carrying a special enriching experience for your child. Our summer camp program runs from July through August. The camp takes place at 143 Waverly Ave in Fort Greene and utilizes the open yard next to our building for gardening as well as the kitchen and studio spaces in the basement of our building. Every year a central story or theme is selected, often from a folk tale or a children’s book. At the end of each month the children will showcase what they have learned in the form of a stage production based on the chosen book. The children’s productions will be open to families and friends. Our Executive Director, Sudha Seetharaman, is an Indian classical dancer by training and believes in the transformative universal nature of the arts. This is the spirit our programs embody bringing a passion for exploration, learning and discovery. trilok fusion arts was founded in 1996. Our mission is to bring together artists of varied cultural backgrounds, to collaborate and create work and performances that embody the roots of their respective traditions and find a common language in the space of art & performance. Through our multi-cultural programming, and the fusion of diverse art forms, Trilok Fusion aims to preserve tradition while inspiring audiences and students to develop a solid understanding of their art and deep appreciation for world cultures. summer of fun & learning WEAVING & SEWING We give children the opportunity to explore the art of weaving and sewing. Children will tap into their creative abilities while strengthening their fine motor skills weaving on a loom. Children will work to make costumes and set pieces for their month end production. GREEN OUR WORLD THROUGH RECYCLED ART Children learn about the importance of taking care of Mother Earth. They collect recycled items and create wonderful pieces of art. It’s an opportunity to learn about taking care of the environment we live in and experience creativity through the way each child sees the world around them. LETS GET PHYSICAL Children get moving! They play indoor and outdoor games, experience an indoor gym, visit local playgrounds, ride their bikes, create their own obstacle course, and participate in many other physical activities. This is an opportunity for children to experience healthy living and get in touch with their bodies while having fun at the same time. EXPLORING OUR NEIGHBORHOOD THROUGH SCIENCE Children learn about the wonderful world of science while exploring their neighborhood. They get to know more about their environment as they examine and experiment with all the mysterious parts of the world we live in. Children will learn through questioning what makes our planet thrive and allows them to enjoy all the different parts of our great city. MUSIC & DANCE Children get the opportunity to explore music & dance. They work with different music teachers to explore various aspects of vocals, drumming and other instruments. Dance helps children explore their imagination and creativity using their body. African, Modern, and Indian dance will be explored as children practice body-mind coordination. CULUNARY ARTS & GARDENING The children get an opportunity to learn about cooking and gardening. Children will spend time in our outdoor garden, learning how things grow and where food comes from, as well as the importance of composting. While cooking, children will learn basic kitchen techniques while preparing a wide variety of foods from around the world. TRAVEL THE WORLD THROUGH STORY Children learn about different parts of the world through storytelling, games, art, and short neighborhood trips. They learn about what makes them unique as they take a look at different cultures. They will learn the importance of being an individual and learning to live in the world where everyone is accepted just as they are. ART & THEATER Children explore art and theatre. Theater workshops will help them understand storytelling and how the various aspects of the craft come together in creating a stage production. With each month’s story in hand, children will work on their performance and create a set for their show with their art teacher.
