Our Programs: INFANT 1 PROGRAM ( FROM 2 MONTH TO ONE YEAR) There are so many milestones in the first year of a baby’s life. From the first time they hold their head up to the day they hold their own bottle we get as excited about their progress as you do. To help in their development we incorporate programs such as: TUMMY TIME FUN – NAPS – MUSIC INFPR INFANT 2 PROGRAM (FROM 13 MONTHS TO 2 YEARS) Along with eating 4 – 5 times each day and getting diapers changed, the activities for children in the Infants 2 program also include: STORY TIME – .LEARNING TIME – CRAZY DANCE TIME – SINGING & PLAYING RHYTHM INSTRUMENTS Toddler Program( 2 YEARS TO 3 YEARS) Toddlers become more aware of themselves and their ability to make things happen. They also begin to experience themselves as more powerful, creative doers. To channel, challenge and enhance their new found ability we use the New York State learning standards for English language arts, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Health and Physical Education, Social Studies, and Art, along with the following programs: FLASH CARDS -CIRCLE TIME -NAPS – ART -KINDERTOTS Pre- K Program (3 YEARS TO 4 YEARS) EXAMPLES OF THE PRE-K CURRICULUM MATHEMATICS MEASUREMENT ANALYSIS – GEOMETRY PATTERN – PHYSICAL SCIENCE EARTH SCIENCE – LANGUAGE ARTS-WRITING / PROOFREADING – SPEAKING AND LISTENING - INFORMATION RESOURCES-GEOGRAPHY – Kindergarden Program (Five years old) EXAMPLES OF THE KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM MATHEMATICS-MEASUREMENT -GEOMETRY – DATA ANALYSIS -INQUIRY FORMS OF ENERGY -LIFE SCIENCE – LANGUAGE ARTS- WRITING / PROOFREADING – SPEAKING AND LISTENING – INFORMATION RESOURCES – READING & RESPONDING

Avalon offers interactive learning tools for children from ages 2 mos.-6 years. Avalon uses “Your Baby Can Read” and “Signing Time.” These programs were created to start your baby on his or her way to loving learning. Our staff skillfully uses flashcards, video, and music to promote early language development in children even as young as age two months. Additionally, at no cost, we provide Kindertots and Kinderdance, led by certified early childhood movement specialists.

Chilibeans Party Place Now Offers Two Summer Camps
Chilibeans Party Place will host two different summer camps in Queens this year: Lego Engineering and Artful Adventures. The Lego camp applies real-world physics, engineering, and architecture concepts for children in kindergarten through sixth grades. The art camp is split into two sessions: 3-D Insanity and Crazy Craftin’ for children in first through sixth grades.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden Debuts Tree House Instillation
After Hurricane Sandy, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden decided to use the trees that fell to create Tree House Instillation. The tree house in the Discovery Garden, which was designed by tree house architect Roderick Romero, will serve as an open-air classroom for children’s workshops.
