Keep the troop together on New Year's Eve this year and ring in the holiday with family-friendly events and activities in your area.

 

 

 

Brooklyn Bridge Walk into the New Year

Greet 2010 with a stroll across this historical landmark. Led by a NYC tour guides, participants will learn about the history of the area while they enjoy prizes, free refreshments, and the fireworks displays visible from Central Park, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey. Multiple walks begin between 10:15pm and 11:15pm. Registration begins at 9:45pm. Meet at Popeye's, 143 Fulton Street (between Nassau Street and Broadway). New Year's Fireworks in Prospect Park

The celebrations begin at 11pm with entertainment and hot refreshments at Grand Army Plaza. Best locations for viewing the fireworks include: anywhere in Grand Army Plaza; inside the Park on the West Drive; along Prospect Park West between Grand Army Plaza and 9th Street. Presented by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. All ages. www.prospectpark.org.
