Two Brooklyn moms have come up with a way to recycle outgrown clothes so parents can save money and reduce waste. Tot Swap NYC, founded by Nicole Jennings, from Carroll Gardens, and Jennifer Lyons, of Prospect Heights, held its first swap meet late in 2006, and is scheduling its next event at Willy Bee’s in Williamsburg. The concept is simple: You place your unwanted items in the correct section — newborn-12 months, 1-2 years, etc., and you can take from anywhere. Anything left over is donated to charity; The Red Hook Community Center and Henry St. Settlement were the beneficiaries of the first event. For more information, including the date of the next swap, email info@totswapnyc.com.
