Brooklyn's Jewish Children's Museum opened its new-and-improved fourth floor, which now houses a fun and interactive exhibit that takes kids on a journey through Jewish history and culture.
In April, the Jewish Children’s Museum debuted its new, 7-million-dollar fourth floor, which houses the state-of-the-art exhibit A Voyage Through Jewish History. Visitors to this interactive permanent exhibit can experience the full history of the Jewish people and learn about its greatest events and personalities through hands-on activities and models.
The First Fruits Race is an arcade-style water race, reenacting the process of bringing the first fruit of the Shivas Haminim to the Beis Hamikdash in Jerusalem.
At Noah's Ark, a Torah-themed play space, kids can check out a dress-up corner, hand puppet station, craft area, and stuffed animals and view video footage through the ark’s portholes. Get to know Abraham and Sarah, draw buckets from a well with Isaac and Rebeccah, and help decorate Joseph’s coat of many colors, then relive some of the defining moments in Jewish history, including Yetzias Mitzrayim and the giving of the Torah on Mount Sina. Visitors can also take a virtual tour of Israel, build a miniature model of the Tabernacle, explore the evolution of Jewish traditions, and learn about the Holocaust through real stories of bravery.

Before you go, visit a replica of the Kotel in Jerusalem and place a prayer in the wall—these prayers will be collected monthly and taken to Israel to be placed in the real Kotel—and add a tile to a large, ongoing mosaic to demonstrate how we are all part of the same world and responsible for our own small portion of it.
