Brooklyn Dance Center III, the third of the Brooklyn Dance Centers that offer dance classes for kids, opened its doors in Bay Ridge this fall.
After 27 years in the business and two successful studios already up and running, the Brooklyn Dance Centers decided to open a third studio in Bay Ridge on September 10. Brooklyn Dance Center III (BDC III) is a brand new, state-of-the-art, 3000-foot studio that provides ample space for the same line-up of ballet, pointe, contemporary, breakdancing, and many other dance classes that their students have come to expect.
As with the other studios, BDC III offers classes for all ages and ability levels. "We specialize in young children and have one of the best preschool dance programs in New York City," says director, Denise Rusinak. BDC's traveling competition team also won first place in a national dance competition in July.
The Brooklyn Dance Centers also do a variety of free performances for the community. "We enjoy bringing our talent and passion to help fundraising causes and charitable events," says Rusinak. With the new space, she hopes to begin offering adult classes and ballroom, hustle, and salsa dancing socials on the weekends. "We found this beautiful location," says Rusinak. "It's hard to find a space like this in Brooklyn."
